IN THE RUN-UP to CineEurope, ticket. international GmbH & Co. KG – manufacturer of cinema POS box office systems in Europe – has completely reinvented its operation, a fact that will be reflected in its positive booth layout. ‘No limits’, was last year’s slogan for ticket. international’s software solutions. And, by way of the latest in mobile-ticketing, movie-goers now get improved levels of user-friendliness.
A browser-based application – suitable for every modern smartphone – supports purchases by loyalty and credit cards, along with a host of other convenient payment methods. In the area of e-tickets, moreover, ticket. international shows itself as a technology-leader with the most innovative, cost-effective solution. For access control, too, their new product – called ‘Mobile Entry Control’ – requires no auxiliaries because the integrated iPhone camera scans 2D barcodes on both e-tickets and print@home tickets. For cinemas needing several mobile entry controls, an affordable solution exists owing to the new software also running on low-priced iPods.
The above product novelties are rounded-off with the first version of the Mobile-Manager. This new software brings mobility to the theatre manager’s office. Now, theatre managers receive all information on their smartphones or tablet-computers (e.g. iPad) directly; and, quite independently from their office or workstation, receive info from the system online via stock or cash assets, along with the ability to operate the visitor information system. Managers can opt for the appropriate text display which appears immediately and thus helps customers stay well-informed.
Even then, the mobile application isn’t quite exhausted, and ticket. international’s proprietors – Kurt Römer and Robert Weyrauch – have many more innovations up their sleeve. For instance, now, managers can directly inform cashiers about any incident with the help of an internal information system. Typed in shorthand onto a mobile terminal, the message appears at all work places. Even taking full-inventory becomes almost pleasurable with the Mobile Manager! Stocks are entered there-and-then onto the mobile terminal (or article codes can be scanned) and stock-levels of individual items become recorded.
ticket. international’s software impresses not only through innovation and performance, but also because of its corporate communication abilities, both of which mark the company’s complete reconsideration of PoS.
ticket. international has also completely updated its online presence. Now, at www.ticket-international.com, interested parties can access a glut of product info, branch solutions and case studies, as well as benefitting from 24-hour online helpdesk-access.
Launched initially in English and German, the new multi-lingual site is being complemented by a regular e-newsletter. Harald Stumpf, t.i’s Business Development Manager, designates the new online presence a central element for corporate communications.
