London – 24 January 2012 – Dawn Paine is named Vice President of Marketing for Universal Pictures UK. Paine will start with the company on 5th March 2012 and will oversee marketing, communications and publicity for the UK Home Entertainment division.

Dawn's 15 years of commercial and entertainment marketing experience includes roles at pan European and local level. Dawn joins Universal Pictures from a 10 year tenure at Nintendo UK as Marketing Director / Assistant General Manager, where she built a multiple award-winning marketing and PR team and directly oversaw the ground-breaking launches of Wii, Nintendo DS, 3DS and software such as Brain Training and Wii Fit.

Paine joins Universal Pictures UK as the company is celebrating its 100th Anniversary and gearing up for its biggest and best release slate to date including Blu-ray releases of iconic classics such as Jaws and E.T.: The Extra-Terrestrial, which celebrates its 30th anniversary this year, live comedy DVDs such as Michael McIntyre Live 2012 and upcoming blockbuster releases such as Dr. Seuss’ The Lorax, Battleship, Snow White & The Huntsman and American Pie Reunion.
